FAQ’s

We meet on Wednesdays. Every fourth week of the month, we have planned field trips that don’t always fall on our usual Wednesdays. We will meet in or around Tyler at a predetermined location such as parks, libraries, etc.

Classes will be for children aged 5 and above (unless given special permission). Younger siblings are welcome to attend as long as they don’t disrupt learning for others. Not all field trips will be appropriate for younger children.

Each week (with the exception of field trip days) we will conduct a book club with weekly activities related to the book. There will also be a parent led learning opportunity that will change on a weekly basis depending on who is volunteering to teach. During free time there will be an occasional game or exercise.

10am- 11am Book Club

12pm- 1pm Break for lunch

Bright Horizons was started by a group of parents who recognized the need for a learning environment that is inclusive of all walks of life. We wanted to create an in-person opportunity to socialize and learn in a supportive environment.

Parents will be required to stay the full duration of the scheduled event and participate in various aspects of the day.

You are not required to attend however the enrollment fee is non-refundable. $50 per family each semester. There are two semesters per calendar year. This covers administration, supplies and parties. Occasionally, you may be asked to bring common household items. This fee does not cover all field trips. The enrollment fee must be paid prior to the semester start date in order to get access to the group calendar, private facebook group and events.
