Upon being accepted in the current semester group, you will be given access to a google doc calendar. The calendar will have available teaching days that each family is required to sign up for at least one date.
Topic
Our goal is to cover a wide variety of interests and subjects. Some examples would be nature, science, art, life skills, or cooking!
How long is a lesson?
You will have a dedicated hour from 11-12 to teach and lead an activity.
What does a lesson look like?
To get the most out of your lesson we recommend balancing your lesson with instruction, time for questions and an activity. Bright Horizons will enforce no questions from students until you specify you are ready for them. Each student will have a notebook given to them by BH to utilize during their lesson times.
Supplies
It is the teacher’s responsibility to notify the group in advance (2 weeks prior) of what to expect from the lesson including what supplies are needed.
How do I sign up?
Once accepted into the group you will have access to a google doc calendar with available teaching days. Once you have signed up you will need to make an event in the closed semester FB group 2 weeks prior to your teaching date with specific details including: topic, date, location, supplies needed, what to expect from the lesson, etc.
